Have you ever felt something quietly pulling you in a different direction?
Against the grain. Against what makes sense.

Something you can barely explain to other people — yet somehow it lights a fire in you unlike anything else.

Taking a leap of faith feels harder than ever. Everyone sees your moves, yet most people are too busy with their own struggles to dwell on yours. The truth is, nobody feels fully qualified for the calling placed on their life. Imposter syndrome is real, but no one becomes equipped by staying on the sidelines.

Peter and John understood this well. They were ordinary men, yet they stepped boldly into the mission God placed before them.

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.” — Acts 4:13

They weren’t chosen because they were the most qualified. They were willing, humble, and faithful.

Today, many people stand on the sidelines criticizing those willing to step out against the grain. Some will fail publicly. Some will win. Some will take losses before gaining ground again. But at least they’re in the game.

Don’t live as a spectator when you were called to step onto the field.

One quote that always sticks with me comes from Rocky Balboa:

“It ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”

That’s true in life, and even more true in faith. Some things aren’t worth suffering for, but the Kingdom of God is. We are all more unqualified than we realize, and somehow God still calls us anyway. What a blessing that is.

I’ve had some time to reflect on the growth of this calling I’ve felt on my life to write, simply because I believe there are things people—especially young men—are battling, facing, and experiencing that need to be said. I never intend for this to be about me, but rather that it might encourage someone else or light a fire in them.

With that being said, this page will soon be transitioning into something more: Called and Unqualified.

Our mission remains the same—to encourage, challenge, and equip others to live out their faith boldly, wherever they are. And through this next step, we’re choosing to walk into unfamiliar territory not because it makes sense to everyone else, or even fully to ourselves, but because we can no longer ignore the call to obedience God has placed on our hearts.

We may feel unqualified, but we’re learning that God has never required perfection before obedience.
